SIMMER & STIR: SLOW COOKER SUNDAY - STREET CORN CHICKEN

I saw the recipe for Street Corn Chicken, the other day on Face Book and I just keep going back to the link saved in my phone to check to see if I have all of the ingredients for the tasty looking meat portion of a meal. Adding chips is one of Amanda's many suggestions to make this Street Corn Chicken more of a meal. I would simply add a side salad to my Street Corn Chicken Sunday Supper Menu, after the Cyclospora Outbreak is contained. And, I would not use my slow cooker, as my slow cooker is forever banned from my kitchen!

Allow me just to share with you a little super Sonya Secret I developed since my arrival to the Manor on Mercury: I stopped using my Slow Cooker, yes my Crock Pot has been banned from my kitchen!

Why you wonder?

Well, I will just tell you: I moved back to Murfreesboro on 14 October of 2021, after basically living in Franklin for The Covid Season. I worked extremely hard and I saved all of my earnings for a month.

I then rented a studio at the Manor on Mercury and since I could not afford all of the deposits plus the $300 MTE electric deposit, I elected pre-paid billing for a $90 deposit because it was $210 dollars less. My son, was a college student at the time and he suggested pre-paid billing for me. He monitors his electric usage on the daily, so after, I/we moved into the studio, I did the same! The results of my monitoring my electric usage was invaluable, as I discovered using the slow cooker costs more than using the oven! So, I banned my slow cooker/crock pot to the very bottom corner of the pot cabinet.
