Modesty Matters Mondays: The House & Home Mission
To be honest, to be real, I didn't exactly know what a modest house looked like, until I saw it yesterday! I don't know why I was without understanding, maybe it's because my natural self seems to be more elaborate than I really am. I am actually a very simple person with very elaborate, practical purposeful ideas.
Like, anyone else I struggle in life with, this, that and the other. But, lately, all I want to do is read and write, but researching, writing and designing line by line bible studies is grossly difficult for me impart, due to I am married to an extremely loud and impulsive, outdoorsman and we live in a two room apartment with zero access to the outdoors! We've had better days, but lately our worst days are the two of us, living trapped inside of our second floor one bedroom condo.
After touring a two bedroom condo in our building on Friday, the Mister sat on our sofa and prayed for the Lord's provision of a place with a backyard or a little land in which we could both pursue our gifts and immediately after his prayer, I looked and found the modest house we toured yesterday after church. Our Pastor's message yesterday was all about Jesus's authority through prayer and yesterday I also prayed fervently for the Lord's forgiveness/help in all that I hope to produce in regards to all the things the Good Lord has placed in my simple, ordinary hands in this my one life.
Y'all: here is the CRAZY thing about the property we toured yesterday, after some research, I effortlessly discovered the modest, but super nice property shop/studio had prior dedicated use as a place to gather people for prayer and Bible Study!
Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah. Acts 5:42 NIV!
