FINANCING FRIDAY$: HOUSING & HOME ECONOMICS
I barely passed Home Economics in High School. My Home Economics teacher's name was Mrs Parish and she suited up for class on the daily!
Home Economics was difficult for me, because my teacher was a professional, but my dearly departed mother mastered in the art of economics for the house & home! So, by the time I got to Franklin High School, I had been sewing, decorating and baking for many years, as my mother's life and joy was in being a Home Maker and one who worked diligently from house & home!
According to Cornell University: new scholarship in American women's history suggests that home economics was a progressive field that brought science to the farm home and women into higher education and leadership positions in public education, academia, government and industry.
Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah. Acts 5:42 NIV!
It's my profound belief, that whenever we think of house and home, we ought not start with the house and home part, but the economics part is point and pinnacle to the start of a peaceful and quiet life.
Please note the super large chunk of the INCOME budget pie for Housing! So, let's be sure and start right there!
Next Friday: Falling Short and Increasing our income.
