The G spot
Generosity by definition is the habit of giving freely without expecting anything in return. Luke 12:48 states ... For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: Add a quote from, Kahlil Gibran “You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.” Generosity to me is a heart that's willing, ready and waiting to let something or someone go.
By nature I am not, or shall I say was not a generous kinda gal, until after many faithful prayers, I received the gift of my daughter Lillian.
Over thirty and unmarried my doctor informed me a natural birth Mother, I would not be. At the time of the consult ... children and babies were the furthest thing from my mind UNTIL that one moment of truth from my physician. After this moment I would cry at the sight of an infant, in a grocery store, in the park ... anywhere the tears would just begin to flow. I surrendered myself to my new thoughts and dreams of having my own baby ... then I began to do the research on this disease that had left me barren ... a single Essence magazine article led me to my truth and with little other choices, I became a vegetarian overnight. Nothing from the cow would I eat. I freely gave up meat. This, for me was the birth of my growing G spot. For the month of November, the Spring girls are talking generosity. So, this is my answer to their questions ... What does generosity mean to you and how are you generous? Oh and just so you know at my house, were gearing up for the most beautiful Thanksgiving. I know you are too.
Another great post - I always enjoy reading your thoughtful take on the Spring topics!
